Back in Business for the Fall

Posted by Guest Student Blogger on Aug 31, 2017

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are back in business for this 2017-18 school year here at Misericordia. After a nice, long summer vacation we should all be ready to get back into the swing of things. And for our first-year students, welcome. We hope that you enjoy your time here and that you create many memories and new friendships. This will be my second year on campus and it feels like I have been here longer than that. It was amazing how fast the time went during my summer break. But I am glad to be back, happy to see people I did not get a chance to see this summer, and excited for the start of the soccer season.

soccer.jpgFor me, I had quite a relaxing summer. I had the chance to go to the beach twice, once with my family down to Nags Head, NC, and the second time with my close friends from high school to Ocean City, MD. I was able to help coach both at home with my former club team and I got to spend the day coaching perspective student-athletes who are interested in playing soccer and studying here at Misericordia. It was a pretty productive summer for me as well, getting a job and mowing lawns in my neighborhood. All in all, I have to say this summer was probably the best summer yet. And I look forward to more summers like this to come.

The beginning of school always means one thing, outside of education, and that is the start of the soccer season. It felt great to be back with all the guys for preseason and getting to meet some of the new guys entering into our brotherhood. It took some getting used to but I think we are starting to mesh together nicely and I am excited to see how this season turns out for us. Hopefully it ends in a conference championship and a spot in the NCAA tournament.

I want to take this time to wish everyone a safe and successful school year. Good luck and Go Cougars! I hope everyone can do big things this year.
